On October 11, 2025, Sentech will celebrate its 25th anniversary. A milestone that fills us with pride and gratitude. It all started with one decision that made a significant difference for our customers. We continue on this track today.  In 2000, Marcel was employed at a sensor supplier that sold two product lines to a competitor. The competitor immediately declared the products obsolete and replaced them with proprietary sensors. Customers had to adjust their machines, resulting in great inconvenience. Marcel thought: "This has to change; customers shouldn't be the ones to suffer." He arranged direct delivery from the original manufacturers and let customers know they could approach him for their trusted sensors. Together with his wife Birgit, he started Sentech from their home.  In 2001, this home office gave way to a dedicated building in Den Bosch. Over the years, the company has relocated four times within Nieuwkuijk.  ## Sensor integration as a specialty  Before long, demand grew for more than just supplying sensors. Customers desired modifications: a different connector, better machine integration, advice on implementation, etc. This is where Sentech's core DNA was formed: we solve sensor issues that cannot be solved with a standard sensor. Thanks to our knowledge of both sensor technology and its practical application, we develop suitable solutions (often plug-and-play) that precisely meet customers' requirements. We have since grown into a one-stop shop, even taking responsibility for the entire supply chain. This is how we support our customers every step of the way.  ## From certification to complex sensor solutions  Our approach to quality has evolved considerably. In 2001, we achieved ISO 9001 certification. This was followed in 2008 by IATF 16949 certification, a rigorous standard for the automotive industry. This standard allows us to solve even the most complex of sensor issues.  Our approach grew as technology advanced. In 2016, Sentech established its own Engineering Department, through which we develop in-house sensor solutions that are currently unavailable on the market. For example, this includes chip integration or use of radar technology in agricultural applications.  In early 2024, we moved to our new premises on the Klompenmaker in Nieuwkuijk, right next to the A59. This move gave us significantly more space: a 400 m² production space and a 240 m² high-end clean room.  ## Towards the future  After 25 years, our passion for technology is as strong as ever. And just like back then, we believe in building long-term relationships. With customers, partners and colleagues.  We are currently broadening our base. For instance, we are developing a strategy to integrate motion and control solutions alongside our sensor offerings. This is happening in collaboration with our sister company Zilvertron, with whom we've partnered to offer customers even more complete solutions.  Without the trust, commitment and cooperation of everyone around us, our growth would not have been possible. We are extremely grateful for this.
